Back in the 1960's I made cinnamon rolls. The recipe was in my home economics high school cook book. They were easy to prepare. A dough which had no yeast, rolled out, then spread with butter, cinnamon and raisins. They were so good. I cannot find this recipe... nor can I find anything similar on the internet. Any help here?

Cook's Illustrated has a great recipe for cinnamon buns without yeast. I can PM it to you if you're interested.

sounds like a biscuit dough, possibly. reducing the usual amount of milk somewhat might make a nice cinnamon roll. the texture would not be the same as a yeast dough, though.

;)

I do baking powder biscuit dough, then smear with butter liberally and sprinkle on brown sugar and cinnamon. I like merstar's link though!
