A good number of DC participants have tried and loved this recipe - Best Banana Bread I've Ever Had!!! given to us by a member who hasn't been aroudn for a very long time. But her expertise in candy-making, and deserts was vast. This has become the go-to recipe for banana bread in my family. Give it a try. It hasn't failed me yet.

That looks just like the recipe I have, only mine uses regular milk.

I used this recipe with the buttermilk option and it's excellent. It has replaced my previous recipe.

i love your blog, chief. it's informative, easygoing and friendly. as to the best banana bread recipe, isn't that a lot of sugar? and salt? just earlier today i made some banana bread, which is why the amounts of each of the ingredients is still fresh in my mind....

This one isn't my recipe. I offer it because it tastes great. And I have to agree, it isn't one of the healthiest recipes I've ever eaten. We don't make it often. But I figure that on the rare occasions that I make banana bread, it might as well be the best version I can find.

Oh, and thanks for the thumbs up for my blog. That means I'm doing something right. Of course, if you see a need for improvement, or have a queston about anything in the blog, just ask me.
