My elderly aunt has made these for years for church suppers. Good for brunches and crowds. Don't be thrown off by the mayo. :chef:

2 cups self-rising flour, 1 cup milk, 4 tablespoons mayo (not diet not Miracle Whip) 1/4 cup sugar
Blend well. Pour into greased muffin pans. Bake at 400* for 12-15 min.

I've had these, but never made them. They are really good. My grandmother used to make a cake she called "Millionaire's Cake", which was a chocolate cake made with mayonnaise and had a really good fudge frosting. It was so good I can almost taste it now.

I made these this weekend for the first time. Loved how they came out. Has anyone ever done some with blueberries or other fruits added? I think they'd be good but not sure how the fruit would change the texture, flavor etc. I'm not real good when fiddling with baking recipes.

I have never added fruit but I am sure that you could. I have never changed my aunt's recipe. But, I do add fruit to alot of my bread recipes. Especially cranberries and raisins.
