Does anyone remember these deep dish pies from Pizza Hut in the 80's? Did you like them? If so, have you tried to make the "copy cat" recipes out there?

We made a couple a few years back that came out good. Karen mentioned making some again earlier this week. Gonna give them another go.

Not being a bread lover, I prefer a thin crust. The thinner the better. I have been known to take off the toppings and leaving the crust behind. Even if it is a thin crust.

I'm not a fan of deep dish pizzas - too much bread.

I fondly remember a restaurant in southern NH that used to sell pizza pies. They were thin pizza crusts in a deep dish pie plate. The crust was filled to the top with pizza toppings then cheese was used to cover the top and acted as the top crust of the pie.

Haven't seen anything like that since.
