Crabmeat in Everett, MA is $5.99
At McKinnon's Market. A 16 oz can of claw crabmeat.
A great buy! I highly recommend the Hearty Boys' crabcake recipe on FoodNetwork. Where should I look for claw crabmeat? Lee |

That IS a great price.
I accidentally bought a can of clawmeat in a display of bargain brand items. It was the size of a tuna can, for $1 a can. I believe the brand name was Polar. I'd never seen clawmeat before, but found that I really liked it. Unfortunately, haven't seen any since. Seafood pickin's are slim down here in small town southern Illinois.

That is a good buy. The closest I've come to that is between $6.99 & $7.99 for a fresh, on-ice, container of Phillips claw crabmeat.
I too find the claw crabmeat not only more economical, but also tastier than the lump. To be honest, I think the lump is highly overrated & overpriced simply because people prefer the pristine white appearance. However, since I don't "eat" the appearance, I definitely prefer the claw meat (as well as the at least 50%+ difference in price!). |

I have got to stop visiting this site. I have made 4 different decisions about "what's for dinner" and that's after I've already prepared menus for the week.
And now I want crabcakes and I'm hungry. |
