I really don't know where to put this, so ... well, I'm starting here. The great folk who run this site will move it to where it belongs.

I received a lobster-gram this week. Something my mom's been promising me for ages.

In it was:

2 1 1/4 lb lobsters
about 20 clams
3 cups clam chowder
2 ears corn
half dozen small red potatoes
butter and a lemon

This was way too much for us to eat at one sitting, so here is what I did:

boiled the lobsters the first night, and the corn and potatoes and had a feast.

next night I steamed the clams and made linguini with white clam sauce (I have tons of parsley in the garden and a great bottle of white wine)

The clam chowder I made an entire meal around, last night.

Yesterday I boiled all of the shells, tomaly, and roe from the lobsters, and will make bisque with it.

Do you approve? Could I improve on it?

I agree with Crewsk, sounds delicious!

I have never made a bisque from tomaly and roe, but that sounds like a great thing to try. Let us know how it came out.
