Some states see no difference between being a caterer and / or a personal chef (what the world used to call cook. rich folks always had their "cook")

anyway, a good culinary school will teach you sanitation and food handling safety etc. This is as important as being able to cook...really.

Cordon Bleu is a franchise. some of the schools are good some not so much. But many a community college has a good culinary program. Look around.

Having a degree in any field does not guarantee you a job. You have to sell yourself.

There are 2 community colleges within half an hour of me and neither one has a culinary program. It seems to be hard to find around here, we do have a Le Cordon Bleu though, and another big college but those are both WAY too much.
