What is the name of the barbecue remnants scraped off the grill? I was told in the past that some people here in the US actually consume it, but I can't recall the name for it.

Burnt ends are actually intentionally made the way they are. They are not a mistake.

I've never heard of people eating it, but I know some people who have to promptly clean their grills to avoid attracting bears and raccoons.
