Cabbage on hot dogs

awhile ago I saw a special on the food channel where they travelled across the USA and showed how different cities were known for what kind of toppings they put on their hot dogs.

I remember there was one city that put some kind of raw cabbage mixture on theirs.

Does anyone know which city this was and what exactly the mixture was.?

Hmmm....Inspired.....think I'll throw a few dill pickles in a blender with some dill seed, or maybe some caraway seed and alittle mustard, mix it with some cooked cabbage (shredded) and slap that on a dog, for effect.....BH51

Love coleslaw on hotdogs! Yum Yum !!!

Here in Florida was the first place I had slaw dogs. At first I though ewww. Then I tried it!! It really is very good! DH likes kraut on his.

Nope.
But there is one brand of veggie hot dog which is pretty close. So it allows me to be creative, which is what i, trying to do. But i do admit, most veggie hot dogs are horrible.

I'm for 'kraut and dijon mustard. I know they put slaw on hot dogs in WVa.
