Can I sub coconut milk for heavy cream?

Hi, I have a recipe for chicken Tikka Massala and it uses heavy cream. I am wondering if I can use coconut milk instead?

Yes, just make sure you don't get the sweetened coconut milk you use in drinks. Get it from the ethnic aisle or an asian market. Coconut milk will separate out just like fresh from the cow milk. There will be a heavy layer of coconut cream on top so you'll have to shake before opening.
