Casual Chef looking for Cooking Class Opinions in NYC

I've been cooking casually for several years. I'm looking to improve my cooking knowledge/skills since what I know has been obtained through watching tv/others.

The classes at ICE looked intriguing, but were a little expensive. Does anyone have any other recommendations? For those who took the ICE recreational classes, what did you think of them?

There should be NO shortage of classes and such in NYC.

Also, see if any restaurants do any informal weekend classes.
