Chili Dogs

I am posting this not for the recipe for Chili Dogs But the Chili I find to be the best for them. There is a picture of the package of Chili. The brand is ["XLANT"] You might look for it if you wand to make Chili Dogs like the franchise fast food Hot Dogs places. I will use it right from the package most of the time. But if I want to stretch it you might want to mix it with a can of your favorite can of chili with out beans, to make it go father. Here are the pictures. I know not all of you will be able to find this but those of us in the USA might.

Just Googled and found it ia a product of Don Miguel Mesican Foods Inc. and apparently is frozen. Have never seen it here in N VA but could have missed it since I rarely carefully shop the frozen food section.

But sounds like something fairly easy to make. Prefer chili without beans when making chili dogs, the beans take up too much room (I mean you need the cheese and the onions and some hot sauce or chiles and ...). But usually make a chili dog casserole that is a crime to prepare without beans.

Just my thoughts, take care.

Have never seen it here in this part of Mich., was it in with the dairy or other chili mixes, cans etc.?

I would look for it in the deli section it is refrigerated not on a shelf some where at room temperature. This stuff has been around for years, here in southern ca.:)

it might have expired by now, guts. you should check the dates. ;)

lol, just kidding. no picture of the finished product? i was drooling when i clicked on this thread, thinking i'd see a beautiful dog, snuggled in it's bun under a preponderant blanket of toppings. a hot dog cornucopia.

I LOVE chili dogs. But since husband doesn't eat red meat, what I usually do is simmer down & spice up a can of Hormel's turkey chili. Comes out just the way we want it with minimal prep for an impromptu great meal.
