Cooking spray?

I've used canned vegetable spray for years - both the brand and generic stuff. It has always come left a clear film on the surface when I spray it. I just got a spray that leaves a white film on the surface. Has anyone experienced this before? Do you think its gone bad? Or maybe its just a different formula? tyia
 
its not supposed to have flour in it. it isn't one of those cooking sprays designed for baking that help flour a pan.
