what constitutes Texas cooking anyway? Can you suggest some ingredients and maybe work the brandy recipe up a little more? Go Mexican w/ cilantro? What is native to texas? geo bush?

As you've all guessed by now, I'm not much of a recipe person. I tend to look up lots of recipes, then go cook. Brandy wouldn't last very long in my house !!!! However, you can always macerate fruit in it (I'd add some sugar too) for a great fruit salad, and a dolop of in in any stew, soup, or gravy would be delicious. Must say, though, that when a freind brought me a bottle of Calvdedos, I smply .... drank it. I have a huge hangover problem with brandy, so took it one little sip at a time for a long time. Seemed a shame to waste it on mere deserts. Oh, yes, have you noticed I'm never on the deserts line??????
