My 13 year old son and I cook together all the time. He makes pizza from scratch. He starts by using the food processor to make the dough, makes the sauce, grates the cheeses and tops it off with salami, hams and pepperoni. His pizzas are my favorite! He makes the most incredible eggs for breakfast; slow cooked in butter, topped with cheese and bacon pieces. He can also make some delicious nachos. Browns the beef, flavors it with seasonings and spices and fries the corn tortillas, top with salad and dinner is served. My 10 year old daughter can make some delicious desserts. From chocolate mousse to cheesecakes. Let me know if you need any recipes.

If you have much, give of your wealth. If you have little, give of your heart. - Arab proverb

I would try a dumpling/ravioli/perogi. Can be made from a simple dough can be filled with lots of different things and can be fun to make with kids

Pasta is always a good idea. You can go from scratch (i.e., eggs and flour) or use noodles from a package. Butter, cheese, herbs. Toss with whatever vegetables are available.
