Cutting the fat- with vinegar?

Is it true that if you marinade your chicken with vinegar, it will cut some of the fat?
 
Heh heh heh...I bet you could write a book like that and it would start a new craze mudbug.

If you mean will if significantly reduce the fat content - I'm afraid the answer is no ... it's not going to melt the fat and have it come running out of the meat. It will probably, at best, only affect the fat on the surface of the meat - and it will remain there unless you wipe it off.
 
I'm not even sure what it could do to the surface? And chicken is certainly one of the more diet-friendly meats with regard to its fat content.
