Does anyone use one of these? I bought one a few weeks ago because my son who lives in Hong Kong wants good beef jerky and has a hard time finding it. I thought it would be a good thing to send him from time to time.

Yesterday I dried onion, celery and mushrooms and I must say I'm very pleased at how they all turned out! This is going to be fun making things to add to soups and stews out of all my leftover produce.

I just made a bunch of dried fruit to make granola. Yum!! I've been meaning to make jerky too. The trays aren't very fun to clean after jerky tho. PITA!

Oh yeah! Love mine! Lotsa dehydrator threads here on DC.

Here's a start:

Oops! When I tried the link, I got an error message (twice)! Am I doing something wrong?
And yes, these are great, inexpensive gadgets and I use mine regularly. Makes easily shipped, inexpensive gifts, too, that you can send off in an bubble envelope.
You'll find a lot of great ideas in a book like Mary Bell's Complete Dehydrator Cookbook.
Cheers

Now that's just weird, the link worked for me last night, but not today.

Try typing "dehydrator" into the DC search.
