"Mother & Child Reunion." List & explain them.

Maybe my fave head-scratcher is Chinese stir-fry of "ants-climb-a-tree -- glass noodle, ground beef, maybe scallion & black sesame seeds." I have no sane explanation for the name of this dish.
 
Heavenly Goo, Bachelor Goo, Gras widow goo, Old man goo,

Goo or Mixes are wet salads in Sweden.
 
But Mash apple and potatoes is Himmel und Erde ( Heaven and earth). There is a old dish called Himmel und Wurst , but that is apples , sauerkraut and sausage.
 
I will directly translate some dishes for you from Swedish.

Shoemakers box , Chimney Sweeper, Permafrost lump, Monk trying pick up girls / disheveled monk, Walk about.

Also Strawberry is Dirt/ Earth old man and Sandwich is a buttergoose in Swedish.
 
Armadillo Eggs and Atomic Buffalo Turds. Two versions of stuffed jalepeños on the grill or smoker.

Fatties. A chub of breakfast sausage smoked on a smoker. Variations abound.

MOINKS - Italian style meatballs wrapped in bacon and smoked on the smoker. (Moo + Oink).

My favorite names for Chinese dishes. I have only eaten the first.

Husband and Wife Lung Slices - cold dish of beef offal.

That one could potentially be true. It could put a diabetic in a coma!


Flies' heads. We actually made this. It went on our never again list.

I just thought of a dish with a ridiculous name. A gravy boat. It's a dish, isn't it? And it is not a boat, nor will it float.
