At this moment in time I don't have the foggiest idea. Have'nt been resident there for many years now. My only guess is - given that almond trees were once, back in history, a big feature in British cookery. Could be climate change, could be some kind of bug - how do I know? I'm not a wizard, I've lived in Italy for many years now, and this is the first time I've heard of this.....I know that in the UK there's no shortage of the packaged goods. For all I know, they come from China! I'm afraid I can't help on this one!
