Food or Drink?

I think it sounds good with a tomato or V-8 based drink. Not so sure about bacon vodka though.

Yeah, that's pretty much my attitude. I think I would have to try it and really like it before I put in the effort.

They look really gross to me. I think they idea is hilarious, but they look like plastic to me, so not appealing in the least. I think it's the texture of the inside that's bothering me. It has that too-smooth-to-be-real-meat look that cheap chicken nuggets have. Every time I look back they look a little grosser.

They look nasty to me but they reminded me of an old cocktail called the Bull Shot.

It has many variations and is similar to a Bloody Mary only you use beef bouillon instead of tomato juice.

It can be served hot or cold.

1 part vodka
2 parts beef bouillon
dash worcestershire sauce
prepared horseradish
celery salt or seed

I don't know.....I might be inclined to try making meat shot glasses. Sounds like the kind of thing that would gross Mrs Hoot out though.

I would be more inclined to try this if it didn't mean I would have to go buy some metal shot glasses. And the meat shot glasses wouldn't make a nice "clink" when you tap your "glasses" together and say skål.

I reckon that's true and I s'pose we could still throw 'em in the fireplace after the toast, but they wouldn't make more'n a slight thud.
