Frogs legs nearing extinction!

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

I've a fish pond, where I raise bluegill & catfish..frogs are
numerous here & occasionally have frog-legs for supper..
Certainly no evidence of extinction...however I can see
a commercial trend that would suggest it...probably a
supply/demand thing as anything raised for profit would
be affected...they are a very tender white meat with a light
fishy flavor....I like them fried on occasion.............BH51..
 
There was a restaurant in Hammond, Indiana called Phil Smidt's that used to specialize in them. We went out there a couple of times a year to enjoy the frogs legs.

They used to be a big specialty in France, but nowadays those served in France are imported from Hungary.
