General Cooking Questions Forum - Please Read

As DiscussCooking.com has grown over the past year - so has the number of forums that address specific areas of interest which were not before. This is to make it easier for you, and your fellow DC members, to find and address specific cooking topic questions and comments.

The General Cooking Questions forum has served as a broad "non-specific" repository for many discussions and questions in the past which now have dedicated forums. Those with questions about canning now have a canning forum, those with cookbook questions or reviews now have a cookbook forum, just for example. Those who want to chit-chat about what they are eating or their favorite foods now have the Today's Menu and Food Talk forum.

Posting your question in the appropriate forum will insure it is seen by those who have an interest in that area of cooking. If you don't know where to post your question then post it here and one of the Administrators or Site-Helpers will move it the appropriate forum for you.

Of course, sometimes, it really is a general question which has no other appropriate forum. That is what this forum is for.

The Entertaining, Special Events and Party Planning sub-forum is now open in the Today's Menu and Food Talk Forum! All relevent threads in the General Cooking Questions forum will be moved to the new forum in the next few days.
