Grain Weevils

Hi all! I have a quick question. I just transfered roughly 200 lbs of different types of flour into air tight containers (there was a HUGE sale).

I found 1 weevil and one larva in one bag. I sifted the entire container I was dumping the bag into and didn't find any more.

I sifted another 45 lbs from different containers, nothing. Do you think I should sift the rest of the flour? Do you think the one weevil and the one larva were a "fluke" or maybe piggy-backing on the outside of the bag? Would you use the flour that had the one weevil and the one larva?

Hi, kkoster. I would definitely sift the remaining grain. Then I would either freeze it for 24 hours and then store it in air-tight containers with a few bay leaves. See this thread for more information. Best of luck.
