I have a really good granola recipe but it's "loose" ... how could I get it to be bar form? There is already honey in the recipe but that is really the only binder (there is a scant amount of oil to help browning as well). It is mainly oats, wheat germ, various nuts and dried berries. I like the idea of adding protein powder.

Ideas?

Hey JMediger, I'm going to split this off to be its own thread so you get the answers you need.

The short answer is that you need to press it into a cookie sheet and bake it then cut it into bars. I'll go post my recipe and you will be able to see it and determine for yourself if your recipe will work the same way.
