So I came across a recipe for a chocolate cinnamon cake with a topping of banana sauce. I have decided to take that and try an idea of my own by turning it into a chocolate-banana lava cake.

My ultimate goal is to have a chocolate cake with the banana sauce[which looks relatively dense and creamy(recipe coming up)] on top of the cake acting as a sort of frosting streaked with either melted hot fudge or plain milk chocolate. I want to put more of a smooth banana filling inside of the cake so that it oozes out when cut open instead of plopping out like I expect the sauce would do.

Here are the sauce ingredients:
4 Bananas
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tblsp lemon juice
3/4 cup whipping cream
1 tblsp rum(optional)

Basically I was wondering if there were any alterations I could do to make it smoother or if there was just some other way to make a banana filling. Originally I was thinking banana pudding, but I am not sure how it would work out.

Any suggestions would be welcomed :)

:ermm: I think if you put the bananas in a blender and mix them really well and perhaps add a little condensed milk it will give you the smooth consistency you're hoping for.
