I have a question for you. I had canned some tomatoes in '06. Put them in a cool dry, etc.etc. Well last year we moved to Texas and my tomatoes somehow ended up packed and in a storage unit for all of last year. Mind you, we had a hot one last year while we were there and I'm sure the unit was above 100 many days.
The question, Do you think they're still safe to use? I have always lived by the saying, "when in doubt, throw it out." (better than taking a chance on getting sick)
The seal is still good, they look fine but...
Thoughts? Opinions?

Considering you canned them in 06,the move, temperature change.I'd toss it out.
Just to be on the safe side.At least you still have the jars :)

Munky.

it's now 09 and you had your eyes off them for a year or more. say goodbye for safety's sake.
