I know that sounds kinda stupid but the only cider vinegar I know is Apple.

I was on a recipe site and it calls for "Cider Vinegar" but a user claimed that all she had was "Apple Cider" and it ruined the recipe and she had to throw it out.

Is there a different cider than Apple?
All I could find on most sites that "Apple" is Cider vinegar.

I just want to make sure before I make this recipe.

The recipe is for sweet and sour sauce.

Thanks for any help!!

Cider vinegar is made with fermented apple cider.

Like GB stated apple cider and apple cider vinegar are two different things.

You should probably be able to use pretty much any vinegar except maybe malt vinegar in that recipe.

Let me ask one more time.
I think i may have worded my question wrong.

I have "Apple Cider Vinegar".
Is that the same as "Cider Vinegar"?

Not Apple Cider that you drink.

Sorry, I'm a dork!

That makes me feel better!

I guess the lady that "thought" she ruined her meal, threw it all out for no reason!

Thanks again!
