I thought okra was okra, I suppose if it it old it goes soft or do you mean the Biscuits?
 
Pre-heat oven to 300, put lady fingers on a baking sheet in one layer, put in oven and turn oven OFF. Let it coast down to cool (about 3 hours) and ... they'll get crispy! :ROFLMAO:

One of my dearest friends and I nibble them when drinking champagne. So she gave me a bag of them, which I never eat unless I'm with her. Given that we live two days' drive away from each other, is maybe once a year. They are great for a trifle, but haven't had an occasion to make a trifle. So, there they sit.
