I have a recipe for Lemon Crumb Bars, using Real Lemon juice. The ingredients are:
1 yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter
1 egg plus 3 yolks
- this is the sticker - "2 cups finely crushed saltine crackers (4 oz.)
directions state: mix cake mix, butter and 1 egg. STIR IN SALTINES. Set aside 2 cups if mixture. Press in bottom of pan, etc. Last step is to top with reserved crumb mixture. I guess I'm "dull of comprehension" as my dad used to say. Who can figure what they're saying? How many crumbs do I stir in originally? Thanks much.

2 cups
then set aside two cups of the whole thing
I found the recipe online...
after mixing it together (minus the filling), you set aside 2 cups of the mixture, press the rest into the pan, bake, then put the filling on it and top with the 2 cups of the mixture that you have set aside.
