Looking for Mysterious Relish Recipe

Is anyone familiar with a relish that is very dark in color, pretty sweet but also savory? I remember putting it on hot dogs and it was wonderful! I thought it was called Chow Chow, but when I Googled that name all the pictures I found were of a green chunky relish. Any help will be appreciated!

There are a zillion recipes for Chow Chow, which is what I think you are talking about.

Some are tan or brownish.

Thanks! Ugh, I looked through so many Chow Chow recipes, but only some had pictures. Now I just have to find the elusive dark Chow Chow. Does anyone have one? Or maybe it is just the difference in the amount of brown sugar...?
