spiritwolf, how old is old? are you looking for the days of yore, or would the last half of the 20th century be ok?
i've recently re-found one of my aunt's cookbooks, and her personal cooking notes. many of the clippings and recipes are from the 50's and 60's. i love just reading some of the adverts, and seeing the prices of food back then.
there's lots of convenience cooking, such as adding cans of the new fangled condensed soups and the like.
