making soup with bran, help needed

I have recently started having bran biscuits for breakfast, and I find it amazing. It's very good for appetite control, so filling...
I am thinking of incorporating bran into my other meals, and making bran soup for example. Any idea on how to cook with bran?

I'm thinking that you should stick with adding bran to any cereal or bread you make but bran in soup would just not work.
