Need help with corn meal biscuits

the recipe calls for self rising flour and self rising corn meal mix. how much and what kind of leavening should i add? i don't have either one in pantry.

If you are using
2 cups of self-rising cornmeal then add:

2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons solid vegetable shortening
1-1/2 cups buttermilk
