Is there a differance between orange blossom water adn orange flower water? Are they interchangeable?

I've been trying to brew some thai iced tea from strach, but I'm not sure if I've got the right ingredients. Should I be using orange blossom water?

Hi Elan, a big welcome to DC :chef:

Now I could be mistaken, but I think that they are one in the same. Orange flower water itself comes from distilled bitter orange blossoms.

Flowers and blossoms are the same thing. So are orange blossom water and orange flower water. You could call it 'bloom' if you'd rather. Or 'influoresence'.

This is how it's made. Just substitute 'rose petals' with 'orange blossom/flower/bloom/influorescence' and change the title.

Rosewater
Boil 1 cup red rose petals with 1 cup water for about 10 minutes. Cover and leave overnight. Strain, discarding petals. Will keep for about 2 weeks in the fridge. It may be sweetened with a little honey before boiling if desired.

You can use any rose petals, but the best are the deepest reds with the strongest perfume.

You can use the flowers from any orange tree. (Any citrus tree, actually.)
