Jet, I think the "killing" statement was ignorance on my part - forget the killing and just follow CharlieD. My first experience with adding vinegar to baking soda was in learning to make a Ukrainian Tort recipe another delightful Ukrainian-American was emailing me back and forth through the process. Sorry for the confusion! I'm learning.
