Hi i'm entering a cooking competition at work, and we have to make a local dish, i'm from wigan so the obvious suggestion is a pie, i'm thinking of doing a beef and red wine pie, but i'm wondering what i can do witht he pastry, perhaps you have some suggestions?

By ready made frozen pastry dough.

try using puff pastry for the top crust
