Hi all. Dumb question here....... I want to put a roast in the slow cooker tomorrow, but I have to leave at 5 am. If i peel the potatoes tonight is there a way to store them so they dont turn brown? Seems to me my mom used to put them in a bowl of water but would that be okay for overnight? Any advice appreciated..........

Hey parker.....I've done it before without any problem. Be sure to put a saucer on top of them to totally submerge them in water.

P.S. There's no dumb questions here......we're all learning as we go

I've done it... put them in a bowl of water but I put in refrigerator.. they were just fine. :)

Peeling Potatoes

I peel my potatoes early for every meal that I have them . Then I cover them with cold water and they keep beautifully. OH and by the way the only dumb question is the one you DO NOT ask.
