pizza crisper

Does a pizza stone & pizza crisper do the same thing?

The Pizza crisper pans are metallic and simply use heat to crisp the bottom of the pizza, whereas pizza stones use heat plus an ability to wick away moisture from the dough because they are porous, making it crispy.
