Please, I need a recipe for something similar to marzipan.

Hi everyone.
What is 'plastic icing'?
I want to make little marzipan decorations to put on cupcakes for a kiddies party, but one of the kids is allergic to nuts, so I'm worried about the almond paste.
Is plastic icing something similar to marzipan? And - if so - how do I make it?
(I'm new here, so please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong.)

I think your talking about fondant, it's kinda plastic, at least to me. I'm sure you can make it but i'm not sure... The only thing I do know for sure is that it is nothing like marzipan...

Here is some info about fondant:
Fondant - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basic Fondant Recipe - How to Make Fondant - Homemade Fondant Recipe

But i think you may be talking about gum paste which is a thicker and can be sculpted.

Both these products can be made from scratch or purchased premade or as a mix. I recommend that you do some practicing :)

Thanks everyone.
I'm not sure either, but I'll definitely try those fondant links.
Don't know about the lemon essence either - I still have so much to learn. Thanks again.

These links have been very helpful. Thank you so, so much.
I'll certainly have to do some practicing first, but I'm sure it'll be fine.
Thanks Janet.
