"Reverse popcorn"?

I don't know what else to call it.

The kernals get cooked in oil, to become soft on the INSIDE, but don't pop fluffy and white like traditional popcorn.

The woman on FoodTV's "Simply Delicioso" said you can get it online, but I didn't catch the name of it and it is not listed in the recipes of her "Beach Party" episode.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, and you've tried it, do you like it?

Oh, great, Barb! I just saw your message!

Chulpe corn, the "unpopped popcorn" of Peru! Now all I have to do is find some!

Thank you!
