I've never noticed the seeds being bitter. I eat them all the time, I love biting (LOL) into a fresh tomato.

yea I love biting into fresh tomatoes too. A couple of weeks ago a coworker brought me a bag of assorted garden tomatoes, and I ate them all before I had a chance to go home and share with the wife XD

The seeds only seem to get bitter after cooking.
