Suet-free jam rolly poly recipe?

Anyone know a suet free recipe for jam rolly poly?

I tried one a few months ago, it turned blue and when I tried it, I threw up. It tasted like something was in it that wasn't fit for human consumption. Haha.

So a recipe would be awesome, if anyone has one?

Google for the Hairy Bikers jam roly poly. You could try freezing a block of butter and grating it into the flour in place of suet. A friend who lives in NZ does this as she can't get hold of suet.

I'm a bit concerned about the blue one, though!.

Thank you! I shall try that. I can get hold of suet, I was just trying to find a more convenient way, as I don't think suet would be used quite often.
