Update on baked beans recipe!

Hi, I just wanted to touch base about my request for a baked beans recipe. I took the advice of the New Englanders in the group and went with the basic Boston baked beans using molasses minus ketchup and various spices. My husband said they were the best he has ever eaten. It also felt good being able to use my bean crock which is over 100 years old.
Many thanks! So glad I joined this site.
Summerf

That's wonderful news, Summerf! Could you post a link to the recipe you used?

I had to go back a ways to find the thread, summer. I can't believe I missed that whole thread. When I make 'em from scratch, which isn't that often anymore because it is so easy to jazz up your favorite canned beans, I add ketchup and molasses. I wouldn't want to leave anybody out, lol.
That was a good thread.

Hi, here is the recipe for my baked beans. Just click on the site:
Boston Baked Beans Recipe (American white beans baked with molasses) | United States - New England | Whats4Eats
I made these beans for my husband and myself. If you are cooking for more people, you might want to double the recipe.
Hope you like them as much as we did.
