Sounds brilliant though. I've C&P'd and will have to get some in the Big Smoke.
This recipe would work with golden syrup (also known as cane syrup or light treacle) or honey.

how about honey???

HONEY MUSTARD GLAZE
1 1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Dash ground cloves
In 2 quart saucepan combine all ingredients stirring constantly. Bring to boil over medium heat and boil 5 minutes. Brush frequently on ham during last 30 minutes of baking. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
