grew up cooking with mom as a family. But once I moved away from home and tried a few things on my own or bought packaged foods...yuk! Quickly called home for recipes, bought Joy of Cooking and have been at it ever since. Eventually went to culinary school.

When I made my starving friends happy in middle school. I like cooking to see people smile. That's why I like volunteering in soup kitchens and homeless shelters ^_^. Food makes people happy.
