I went to the grocery store and saw this item on sale for 1.99 and I picked up a pouch.
This is from Mexican food chef Rick Bayless.
I tried this with some chicken.
The bag says this has some chipotle and lime flavor. Ingredients listed Lime also last on the list.
I could hardly taste the lime flavor.
I cooked it to the directions stated, but served it with some white rice.
the sauce was mild for sure, but had some good flavor.
The sauce was certainly brown in color like a beef gravy.
Due to the lack of lime flavor based on my tastebuds I could only give this item a medium sized thumbs up. If I buy it again I will also purchase a lime to make sure it has lime flavor.
