Walkers Turkey and Bacon Flavored Crisps review!!!

I went to my local mall recently and they had this specialty food store that sells snack food from around the world and they were selling a small bag of this stuff. On the package they said this was a new flavor. This is a UK import item folks.

For one buck I was able to buy a 34.5G bag of this stuff. They had no big bags to sell.

I opened up the package and took a whiff and was surprised at the smell.

The crisps all looked like a traditional USA Lays potato chip. I thought I some black specs on the chip, but it was hard to see them.

The bag I got had some big Crisps in it.

I could not really taste the bacon flavor, but I could 100% taste the Turkey flavor WHICH WAS REALLY GOOD!!!

This bag of crisps with the weird and unusual flavor combination gets the mega thumbs up from me. I was totally shocked to even see this brand in my local area.

Walkers are one of the UK's favourite crisps (chips in US-speak!) companies. They are based in Leicester (pronounced Lester) and have some YUMMY flavours. They specialise in doing 'special' flavours, for a short sale time - and their spokesperson for the adverts is Gary Lineker, an ex-England football captain.

The store I went to was very small. They could use one twice as big so they can sell more stuff.

I will check in the place every so often to see if they have something different to try out.

I've ordered several different types of Walkers before. I'm waiting for them to come out with HP flavored crisps. I'll order a case then.

No, it's not the same company, Licia. I'm not keen on Walker's shortbread.... probably one of the best known around the world (I swear it's because of the picture of BPC on the tin!) - but I wouldn't give it house-room

I haven't seen that exact flavour of chips (crisps) here in Ireland, but the stores do stock Walkers.

Kleenex, I think you're bang on when you said that they look like "Lays". The first time I tried them that was my exact same thought too, especially since the "Lays" brand does not exist here. They could very well come from the same manufacturer and simply be branded under different names

Walker's crisps were started by a Mr Walker about 60 years ago - but I seem to recall reading that they were bought out by a US-owned conglomerate some years ago. BUT the flavours are uniquely British in origin - in fact, most of the flavoured crisps available round the world originated in England (not Scotland...!) I've eaten Lay's crisps in both the USA and Australia. Walker's are miles better!
