Kale is the new beef:

It actually has more iron then you can get from meat

I like Kale chips. You drizzle some coconut oil on them and a bit of Cayenne pepper > pop em in the oven for 10 minutes or less (keep an eye on them as they can burn easy)> take em out and your done.

They are so lite and airy on your tongue yet crispy
When I first heard about this I thought yuck. If your open minded enough to try it you will be pleasantly surprised.

I don't think Kale (vit K) is a problem with ALL heart patients. It would be best to check with your cardiologist. If in doubt, leave it out, I always say. My doctor never told me to avoid vit K. Now my step-son has an mechanical valve in his heart and takes Coumadin every day. He has been told to avoid any food that contains Vit K. Most of these foods are things that he loves, but it screws up his blood tests if he eats it. It's surprising some of the foods that contain Vit K.
