Need info on Caribbean Spinach

Hello All,
Went to a Swap & Shop in this lovely state which has several vendors of vegetables and fruits. I am so pleased!!!! Anyhow, there was this vendor who had the most beautiful spinach for $2 a bunch, and she said to boil it, and you can eat the stems too. Well, the stems went in the trash... I tasted a piece of the raw leaves, and did one of those numbers like the dad tasting the baby food commercial, and it tasted like a combo of arugula, and oregano, bitter. She called it Caribbean Spinach. I think I'm going to cook it like Swiss Chard, sauteed w/ bacon & evoo. Anyone ever had this stuff??
Also, need some ideas for the beautiful watercress she had.
Thanks
B.
