YES! the one time I used them. But they tasted very bright and tomatoey. I liked that.

Have since gone back to San Marzanos.

Well, thanks for all the insight people. It helps to know that there is a difference, but no difference to tomato paste and tomato puree... I guess I'll let you all know when I use it what happens. Didn't get the chance this weekend...

And, Red, unfortunately, I do not reside in Seattle, anymore. I sm stuck in Florida, but I'm finding my way around, and finding my foodie fixes, even if I have to get them shipped from Trader Joes in Seattle!!!! Shipping was almost as much as the items, but well worth it.
